Free H1N1 flu shots at Allapattah YMCA

The Miami-Dade County Health Department is offering free H1N1 influenza vaccines at the YMCA Village of Allapattah Family Branch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 6.
The Allapattah YMCA is at  2370 NW 17th Ave., Miami.
Miami-Dade County also administers free free H1H1 flu shots at its other clinics.

Free Black History tour Saturday

Miami-Dade Transit will offer its last February free Black History tour starting at 9 am. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW First St., Miami.
The 3.5-hour tour will include historic sites in Overtown, Coconut Grove, Liberty City, Brownsville, Virginia Key and elsewhere, including the Greater Bethel AME Church (photo).

The Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library will hold a big book sale Thursday, Dec. 10, to Sunday, Dec. 13, with thousands of donated books, CDs, audio cassettes and more offered for $2 or less.

Get free trees in Miami-Dade

Miami-Dade residents can get free trees from Miami-Dade County from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 19, at J. C Bermudez Park, 3100 NW 87th Ave., Doral.
Residents can receive two free trees each with valid ID. Renters must have a letter from the landlord and a copy of the landlord’s ID.

Property value appeal due Sept. 18
