Miami Art Museum free for families

The Miami Art Museum is free for families from 1 to 4 p.m. the second Saturday of every month.
The free monthly program features hands-on activities for children and adults. Second Saturdays also include occasional live music, storytelling, guided tours, gallery games and dance performances.

Carnaval on the Mile in Gables

Coral Gables will be the site for nonstop free music Friday through Sunday as Carnaval on the Mile sets up stages in multiple locations.
The festival begins with a kickoff concert at 7 p.m. Friday, March 5, at Ponce Circle Park. Friday is also Gallery Night and Giralda in the Park.

Visit museums free this weekend

It’s the first weekend of the month, and that means Bank of America customers can visit museums free through the bank’s Museums On Us program. Lincoln Road, Grove art walks

Two free neighborhood art walks will be Saturday, March 6.

Free Family Fun Day at Bass Museum

Sunday, Feb. 28,  is the monthly family fun day at the Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach, with free admission for all from 2 to 4 p.m. 
Children will learn about contemporary art from the Jumex collection, focusing on cultural differences and diverse expression in art.
Free popcorn for kids and free coffee for parents.

Free Friday at Children’s Museum

Every third Friday of the Month, Miami Children’s Museum has free admission from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The program is sponsored by Target.
Events include interactive activities and crafts and storytelling. Children an also explore hundreds of bilingual, interactive exhibits related to arts, culture, community and communication.

Free Miami Beach Festival of the Arts

The free 2010 Miami Beach Festival of the Arts will be Saturday, Jan. 30, and Sunday, Jan. 31, at Ocean Terrace (east of Collins from 73rd to 75th Street).
