Two free neighborhood art walks will be Saturday, Sept. 4. Free kids’ workshop at Home Depot
On the first Saturday of the month, The Home Depot hosts a free kids workshop from 9 a.m. to noon for children 5 to 12. The project for Saturday, Sept. 4, is a football display stand. Kids also will receive an orange apron and an achievement pin.
Free music, art at Viernes Culturales
Viernes Culturales (Cultural Friday) in Little Havana is celebrated the last Friday of the month. Art, free concerts, food tastings and general free fun are on tap from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Southwest Eighth Street between 14th and 17th avenues. Free outdoor jazz at MOCA

Free Friday at Children’s Museum
Every third Friday of the Month, Miami Children’s Museum has free admission from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The program is sponsored by Target. Events include interactive activities and crafts and storytelling. Children an also explore hundreds of bilingual, interactive exhibits related to arts, culture, community and communication.
Miami Art Museum free for families
The Miami Art Museum is free for families from 1 to 4 p.m. the second Saturday of every month. The free monthly program features hands-on activities for children and adults. Second Saturdays also include occasional live music, storytelling, guided tours, gallery games and dance performances.
Design District/Wynwood art walks
This week brings the Second Saturday of the month, and that means time for the Wynwood and Design District art walks. Hours are 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Check out ArtCircuits to see what’s on exhibit and get a gallery map. You can also find a list of events on the Design District Facebook page.
