Free films and talks about Iraq

The Centro Cultural Espanol and the Casa Arabe are presenting a series of free films about Iraq, both fiction and documentary, at DotFiftyOne, 51 NW 36th St., Miami. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Film directors will be present to discuss their work at some of the presentations in the “Tales from Iraq” series.
The remaining films will be shown:
- 7 p.m Dec. 9: Iraqi short films, documentary, from the Independent Film & Television College, Baghdad-IFTCV. A Candle for the Shabandar Café, Emad Ali, Iraq, 2007; A Stranger in His Own Country, Hassanain Al Hani, Iraq, 2007; Leaving, Bahram Al Zuhairi, Iraq, 2007.
- 7 p.m. Dec. 16: Life After the Fall, Al Hayat Ma Baada Al Suqut, Kasim Abid, Iraq, 2008, documentary.
