Veterans’ Day is Wednesday, Nov. 11. As a way of honoring veterans for their service to the country, several restaurants are providing free meals to veterans:
- Current and former personnel with proof of service can get a free entrée at Applebee’s on Wednesday.
- Anyone who has served in the U.S. military can get a free meal from Golden Corral from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16. The closest one to Miami-Dade is in Pembroke Pines.
- Veterans and active-duty service members can get one free doughnut Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Krispy Kreme.
- Veterans and current military personnel can get a free Bloomin’ Onion and a beverage at Outback Steakhouse on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
Not all locations participate in all national promotions, so it’s always good to call and check your preferred restaurant before you go.
Also in honor of veterans day, everyone will receive free admission to national parks and other federal lands on Wednesday.
