Free cooking classes with Chef Allen

He did say he would trade food for mangoes. Chef Allen Susser is offering free interactive cooking classes.

Now here’s a real deal:

Chef Allen Susser and his staff at Chef Allen’s in Aventura are  offering free interactive cooking classes this summer, 6 to 7 p.m. every Friday from June 5 through July 31. Free wine and tastes of food are also provided.

The classes are at  Chef Allen’s Modern Seafood Bistro, 19088 NE 29th Ave.,  Aventura. Enrollment is limited to 50 people. For details and to register, call 305-935-2900.

While perusing Chef Allen’s website, we came across a few other deals:

* Every Wednesday is Wine Down Wednesday, when all the bottles of wine on the regular list are half-price.

* Bring in a wheelbarrow full of mangoes (about 200 pounds) and get dinner for two free.
