New low-cost health insurance

A new low-cost health insurance plan for anyone who lives or works in Miami-Dade went into effect July 1. Miami-Dade Blue is for residents of all income levels who do not qualify for government programs.

The plan, designed by BlueCross BlueShield of Florida (BCBSF) and the County’s Office of Countywide Healthcare Planning (OCHP), is a medical insurance plan that offers comprehensive coverage with affordable monthly premiums to county residents and small business owners.
