Mini-concerts for a mini-price

The New World Symphony will give three “mini-concerts” Friday, April 3, for a mini-price: $2.50 per performance.
The orchestra will perform Mozart’s romantic Clarinet Quintet at 7 p.m., Handel and Halverson’s Passacaglia and Bartok’s Contrasts at 8:15 p.m., and Brahms’ Clarinet Quintet at 9:30 p.m. The performances are at the Lincoln Theater, 541 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, so you can eat dinner, get a drink and people-watch before and after.
The symphony fellows will also give a free performance at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 4, featuring the Young Artist Concerto Competition winner, cellist Anna Maria Litvinenko, and high-school instrumentalists from Miami-Dade and Broward. Tickets are required.
And, symphony fellows will give another free performance at 7 p.m. Monday, April 6, with an intimate presentation called “Inside the Craft,” in which they will explain their work. No tickets are required.
