How often do you get to hear subversive Brazilian rock from the ’70s – with commentary from an aficionada who was once a rock ‘n’ roll teen in Bahia?
The Rhythm Foundation’s free monthly Curated Listening event will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, and it’s called “Let’s go loudly beyond Bossa Nova.” It will be in the News Lounge patio in the Soyka complex, 5580 NE 4 Court, Miami.
Guest curator is Geane Brito, co-owner of the Genius Jones baby boutiques. Among the artists on her playlist are Os Mutantes, Raul Seixas, Secos e Molhados, Elis Regina and Cassia Eller.
The Rhythm Foundation hosts a free curated listening event the first Tuesday of every month. The next one is March 3.
